Does the name have to be included in the logo trademark?

No. A logo trademark can consist entirely of visual elements without any text. Including the brand name in the logo is a design choice, not a legal requirement for trademark registration.

A logo that does not include the name gives the brand flexibility to use the visual identity independently of the name. It also means the logo trademark provides no coverage for the name used elsewhere; a separate wordmark registration is needed for that.
