Is there a way to protect both the name and the logo?

The most comprehensive way to protect both your name and logo is to register two separate trademarks: a wordmark for the name and a figurative mark for the logo. With this approach, each element has independent protection. The name is protected in all visual representations, while the logo is protected as shown.

If you’re on a tight budget, the cheaper alternative is a combined mark, which registers and protects your name and logo in combination. This is less expensive than two separate applications but provides narrower protection, since the combined mark covers the brand as used together, not each element independently. If the name or logo is later used separately by a third party, a combined mark may provide weaker grounds for action.
