Is font considered a unique element in trademark registration?

For wordmarks, no. A wordmark protects the text itself; the font is irrelevant to both the application and the scope of protection.

For figurative marks, a distinctive custom font can contribute to the overall distinctiveness of the visual mark. If the font is so unique that it forms a significant part of the brand's visual identity, it should be protected through a figurative mark registration rather than a wordmark.
