Is there any additional fee not accounted for in the final price for trademark registration?

Yes. The standard registration fee covers the filing and examination process. Additional fees can arise in two scenarios: if the IP office issues an office action requiring a formal response, or if a third party opposes the application during the publication period.

Both situations require legal work that is priced separately from the initial filing fee. A trademark attorney should advise on the likely cost and chances of success before you decide whether to proceed.

After registration, the renewal fee due every 10 years is the only scheduled ongoing cost in most jurisdictions. In the US, a Declaration of Use fee also applies between the 5th and 6th year.
