Trademark registration in Japan involves two separate fees paid at different stages: an application fee of approximately $108 per class, and a registration fee of approximately $253 per class, due once the application is approved. The registration fee can alternatively be paid in installments at approximately $132 per class.

Please note that the Japan Patent Office (JPO) does not accept direct payments from applicants residing outside Japan. Payment must be made through an appointed representative who is resident in Japan or otherwise authorized to act before the JPO.
