How can I trademark a website?

A website on its own cannot be trademarked. What's trademarkable is the brand name or logo used on the website, provided it identifies the source of specific goods or services and meets the standard registrability requirements.

A domain name alone doesn't constitute a trademark, but if a brand incorporates the domain to create a more distinctive brand name, then the combination can be registered. A good example of this is "booking.com."

The trademark protects the brand identity, not the website itself. Copyright protection, separately, covers the website's original content.
