Can I use the ® symbol on my logo now, and where should it be placed? Is there any official guidance?

The ® symbol can only be used once the trademark is fully registered. If your application is still pending, use the ™ symbol instead, which indicates that trademark rights are being claimed or an application is in progress.

There is no legal requirement governing where the symbol must be placed. The standard practice is to position it at the top right of the mark, though bottom right is also common. The symbol should appear close enough to the mark that it is clearly associated with it. The same placement conventions apply to both ™ and ®.
