What channels should I monitor for brand infringement?

The most important channel for trademark holders is the trademark register: new applications for confusingly similar marks must be identified within the opposition window to be actionable. Beyond that, the channels worth monitoring depend on where your brand is most exposed.

Common channels include web domains (for cybersquatting and similar domain registrations), online marketplaces (Amazon, eBay, Etsy; for counterfeit or copycat listings), social media (for unauthorized brand accounts or unauthorized use of the name or logo), app stores (for similarly named or branded applications), and business registers (for newly incorporated companies using a confusingly similar name).

Not every brand needs to monitor every channel. Prioritize the ones where infringement is most likely given your industry and distribution.
