I want to buy an existing trademark. What would be the price to do this?

Much like company acquisitions, there is no standard pricing for acquiring trademarks. The value of a trademark depends on the strength and recognition of the mark, the classes and jurisdictions it covers, and the revenue generated by the brand.

A trademark for a well-established brand in a competitive market can be worth considerably more than the cost of registration. A lapsed or unused mark with no commercial reputation may be available for a modest sum, if the owner is willing to sell at all.

If you are considering a trademark acquisition, a trademark attorney can advise on valuation, due diligence, and the assignment process.
