Can you edit a trademark?

No, you can only edit minor administrative details (owner name, address, and obvious typographical errors in the application). The trademark itself cannot be altered in a way that changes its distinctive character or overall impression.

In practice, what can be "edited" is limited to corrections that do not affect the substance of the mark or the scope of protection. Anything that would change what the mark looks like, or expand the goods and services it covers, requires a new application.
