Is there an extra price for responding to the office action?

No government fee is charged for submitting an office action response in most jurisdictions. The filing of the response is covered by the original application fee.

Costs can arise indirectly: legal representative fees for drafting the response, and in the US, an extension fee of $125 per class if more time is needed to prepare it. If new evidence needs to be gathered (for example, a consumer survey to support an acquired distinctiveness claim), the cost of obtaining that evidence is also an indirect cost of the response.
