Are there any additional fees if I need to amend my trademark application in response to an office action?

No, amending your application in response to an office action does not come with additional government fees in most jurisdictions. Extra fees would only apply if you requested an extension of the OA response.

That being said, the USPTO’s fee structure was actually updated in January 2025. Now, applicants are required to pay a $100 surcharge per class if they make amendments to a previously approved goods and services section. Other than this, you will not be required to pay any additional fees for simply correcting owner details or submitting a substitute specimen.
