What countries are included in the Madrid System?

Over 130 countries currently participate in the Madrid System. The full, up-to-date list is published on WIPO's website and is subject to change as new countries accede to the system.

Major markets covered include the US, EU (as a single designation covering all 27 member states), UK, China, Japan, Australia, Canada, India, Brazil, Russia, South Korea, and most of continental Europe and Africa. A small number of countries are not members and require direct national filings.
