It is possible to receive an opposition for just one of the classes included in your trademark application; however, if that happens, the rest of the application continues in the registration process.
Let’s make an example. You file an application in Classes 9 and 25. A competitor files an opposition against your mark in Class 9. The application with Class 25 continues in the process, whilst Class 9 is temporarily stopped until the issue is resolved. If you fail to resolve the issue amicably or lose the opposition, it only affects Class 9, not Class 25.
