If I file my trademark on an intent-to-use basis, can I provide the specimen later?

Yes, that’s what intent-to-use applications are designed for. After the USPTO issues a Notice of Allowance (typically 12-14 months into the process), you will be required to submit a Statement of Use

After you receive the NoA, you have six months to file a Statement of Use with a specimen. Extensions of time are available in six-month increments, up to a maximum of five extensions (36 months total). The trademark is not formally registered until the specimen is submitted and accepted.
