How can I search for similar trademarks?

Search directly through the IP office's public database in each country where you plan to register. The EUIPO's eSearch, the USPTO's TESS, the UKIPO's trademark search tool, and most national IP office databases are free and publicly accessible.

Search for the exact mark and also for phonetically similar names, visually similar logos (for figurative marks, using the Vienna Classification for image searches where available), and conceptually related terms. The IP office assesses all three types of similarity when examining your application; a search that only looks for identical text misses a significant portion of the potential conflict.

For a more complete picture, a professional trademark search identifies not just identical matches but marks similar enough to trigger a real opposition risk. Run a free trademark search with Trama.
