Do I have to renew my trademark through the same representative who filed it originally?

No. You don’t have to use the same representative for your mark’s renewal. You can renew it through any qualified representative in the relevant jurisdiction, or renew it yourself directly in permitted jurisdictions. There is no obligation to use the representative who handled the original filing.

If you change representatives, ensure the new one is authorized to act before the relevant IP office. In the US, for example, only licensed US attorneys can represent trademark owners before the USPTO.
