An EU trademark currently covers 27 countries: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, and Sweden.

Protection across all 27 member states is obtained through a single application filed with the EUIPO. If a new country joins the EU, existing EU trademarks automatically extend to cover it.
