Is there a global trademark?

No. There is no single trademark that provides automatic protection in all countries. Trademark rights are granted on a country-by-country basis; each registration covers only the jurisdiction where it was issued.

International systems and regional systems (like WIPO and EUIPO) might make registration in multiple countries simpler, but they still won’t create a single, unified, global trademark right. Each designation or member state can still act independently, and they still retain jurisdiction-specific examination processes. To achieve global registration, your best strategy is to prepare a jurisdiction-by-jurisdiction strategy with your representatives.
