If we proceed with application and one country say opposes, does the entire trademark application forfeit or is it for that single country?

An opposition in one country only affects that application. IP offices mostly aren’t interconnected, so if you have filed other applications in additional jurisdictions, those oppositions are handled entirely within the country where they were filed, and other applications continue through their own processes independently.

This applies equally to applications filed through the Madrid System. Each designated country examines the application under its own rules and handles any oppositions independently. A provisional refusal or opposition from one designated country has no effect on the others.
