Does a successful registration in one country influence my chances in another?

Not materially. Each IP office runs its own examination process; success in one country does not improve or harm the prospects of an application in another.

The assessment in each jurisdiction depends on the local examiner's view of the mark's distinctiveness, and on what prior registrations exist in that market. Those factors are entirely independent of what happened in a different country.
