After filing a trademark in one country, can I file the same trademark in another?

Yes. You can file the same trademark in additional countries at any time, independently of your original registration. Each country's application is examined under that country's own rules; a successful registration in one country does not guarantee success in another, since different conflicts may exist in different markets.

If you file a new application within six months of your original filing date and wish to claim priority, the Paris Convention allows you to use your original filing date as the priority date in the new jurisdiction, provided that country is a Paris Convention member.
